April Fools Birthday Present 2013

I sent Brian Beaumont on a scavenger hunt for his birthday present on April 1st. With each clue for where to look next, I also gave him the letters to spell what his present was: i-p-a-d.

Easter 2013

 My kids did not get anything big from the Easter Bunny this year.  But, I did make my kids some Easter chocolates-- including peanut butter eggs.  And plastic eggs were hidden.  In the eggs were some money, inspirational Easter quotes, Easter jokes/ riddles, and/ or coupons for time with their mom.  Here are some sample jokes:

Q. What did the Easter Bunny say to the carrot?
A. "It's been nice gnawing you!"

Q. How do you catch a rabbit?
A. Make a noise like a carrot.

Q. How do rabbits travel?
A. By HAREplanes.

Q. Where does the Easter bunny eat breakfast?
A. IHOP.

Q. What kind of stories do rabbits like best?
A. Ones with hoppy endings.

Q. What do you call a bunny with fleas?
A. Bugs Bunny!

Brian's April Fools Birthday Cake 2013

Would you guess there is a balloon in that?  I told Brian our nice Brazilian neighbors heard it was his birthday so they made it for him.  Brian recently trimmed some hedges for them, so I added that they were thankful for that.  They have been very nice and given us unidentifiable (yet delicious!) treats before.  Plus-- even better-- they were insisting on making a cake for Teresa's birthday.  So, all in all, it was a very believable lie.  He was totally falling for it until right as I sat it in front of him, I accidently swiped my fingers across it and revealed what was under the whipped topping!  Dang it!

basically a commercial for it. They only filmed that on November 28th at the Provo City Library!

. . . I'll tell you where I found him . . . When Ali Fisher (The daughter of Jairus) is talking, Brian is in the middle of the screen from 0:57 to 1:01-- he sits down behind the women who are the focus. Also again from about 1:14, there is a group of three in the middle of the screen, walking toward the right. Brian is the front of them and looks like he points the way.

She did not place in the pageant itself, but she was fourth runner up in the talent competition-- She did pogo sticking. (And, yes, she is jump roping while pogo sticking. It scared me to death when she first tried it!) She was awesome.
